THE BRIEF
wevu was a start-up looking to break into the video on demand (VOD) market, offering a subscription-free movie service. Working with Sony, Warner Bros, Paramount, Disney, wevu aspired to create a brand that rivalled the likes of Netflix and Disney Plus. Our initial brief was to craft a brand that would make some noise in a crowded market and brand guidelines to sit alongside. Wevu’s goal was to disrupt the market with this new model, and it was important the brand amplified their vision.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
After this first phase was complete, the wevu vision started to become a reality and the brief was extended to include a range of additional assets. Boombox collaborated with wevu on their marketing activities, creating a series of social media and email marketing campaigns, app store screens, promo videos and pitch decks. We also worked closely with launch partner Tesco to curate in-store point of sale, such as movie cards and display designs, eventually launching in 400 Tesco stores across the UK.
